Send a correction
One email address, no form, and a short list of what we can and cannot usefully answer.
The address
Everything comes to [email protected]. There is no contact form on this site and there is not going to be one. A form would collect details about somebody's mouth into a database nobody here is equipped to look after, and there is no good reason to build that when an email address does the same job.
What is genuinely useful to send
- A newer fee schedule. The three documents this site prices from are reissued periodically. A link to a newer one is the single most valuable message we receive, and it changes the site the same week.
- A line we have misread. If a figure here does not match the document it cites, tell us which figure and which document, and we will check it against the source rather than against our own page.
- A source for something we say is unpublished. Several pages here state that a number does not exist in any free primary source. If one does, we would like to be wrong about that in public.
- A broken link or a page that will not load.
What we cannot answer
We cannot tell you whether you need a root canal, whether your pain is serious, what your quote should have been, or whether a particular practice is treating you fairly. Nobody here holds a dental licence. An email describing symptoms cannot be assessed by anyone at this address, and pretending otherwise would be worse than useless — it would be somebody waiting for a reply instead of being seen.
If your face is swelling, if you have a temperature, or if swelling is making it hard to breathe or swallow, close this page and get help today — emergency services if breathing or swallowing is affected.
What happens to your email
It sits in an inbox until it has been dealt with, and then it goes. Nothing subscribes you to anything — this site runs no mailing list at all — and nobody outside it ever sees what you wrote. If you write to us with clinical details anyway — people do — we delete them rather than keep them, and we will not quote them back to you.
